On Wednesday, January 14th, Mrs. Levine's Grade 8 Bond Elementary class was invited by Bond Secondary to participate "as a Gr. 9 student for the day." The theme of the day was to highlight Bond's Secondary program by showcasing our talented teachers delivering engaging hands-on lessons in a fun learning environment.
Mrs. Samuels, Ms. Huryn, Mr. Quigley and Mr. Persaud presided over the classes and were impressed with the energy and eagerness of the Gr. 8 students. Throughout the day, the Gr. 8 students were introduced to lessons such as logging map grids and adapting novels to the big screen.
"The energy and enthusiasm that the Gr. 8's brought made for an exciting and fun day for everyone involved and it was encouraging to see the Gr. 9's take on a leadership role in mentoring the Gr. 8 students", noted Mr. Persaud.
"It was a great day for everyone involved. We enjoyed having the Gr. 8 students join us as their enthusiasm was really inspiring for all of the teachers involved," said Mr. Davies, the organizer of the event.
