As you know, Bond recently held a school book fair to raise funds for the library. These funds are used to purchase new books, resources, and materials for the library.
A big thank you goes out to the staff, parents and students at Bond Academy who helped make the Book Fair a success!
Our goal was to raise $2,500.00 and as of Thursday evening, we met that goal. Our final total for the Fair was: $2967.00. Bond’s library will receive a percentage of these funds towards purchasing new materials for the library.
Everyone had a part in the success either by purchasing books, buying dinner, helping with set up or clean up, or taking part in the activities.
Specifically, on Wednesday evening, Bond hosted a Family Night which included a chicken dinner and various contests. The winners of the contests are as follows:
Michaela Bachoumis won $30 in free books at the Book Fair by winning the jousting tournament against Mr. Allen and Ms. Harvey.
The winners of the student Coin Toss were Alexander and Cassandra Tzovolos. Together they split $30 in free resources at the Book Fair.
The winner of the Adult Coin Toss was Mr. Bergeron (Tiana and Ella’s father). He won a $25.00 Esso gift card.
The winner of the Family Draw wins $25 in books for themselves, and $25 in books for their classroom. The winner of this draw was Jessica Beauchamp in Mrs. Crokidas’ Grade Three class.
Kian Adair in Ms. Horner’s Grade Two class won the $50.00 gift certificate to Scarborough Town Centre.
Thanks again to everyone who participated in the activities and who supported the Book Fair this week.
