On Tuesday, November 25th, Bond students in grades nine and ten English went to the Classical Theater Project to see Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. The play was a success, with lively action, music, and wit.
After the play, the students had the opportunity to take part in an acting workshop, as well as a stage combat demonstration. The kids really enjoyed the hands-on activities and the opportunity to experience Shakespeare's work as he intended it to be experienced.
Getting out of the classroom and onto the stage gave the students a chance to practice and develop a new found confidence in their language abilities. According to grade ten student Coltrane Daniels, "It was invigorating, I really liked having the opportunity to bond with the actors." The trip was a great success, and we look forward to returning to the Classical Theater Project for future plays and workshops.
