Last Thursday May 26 Hudson College held our first ever Hudson 2016 Art Show.
This year's exhibition showcased paintings, drawings, sculptures, and one-of-a-kind installations created by students from JK-12 on the theme, "Our City, Our Home: Student Art Celebrating Toronto."
Student art creations were placed throughout the main lobby, first floor hallway, and library. We wish to thank all of those who came out to the Art Show. It was an amazing display of our students’ creativity and passion for Art! We are very proud of all of the fantastic art works Hudson students created. We managed to raise a grand total of $1,460 – an excellent sum! All proceeds will go to SKETCH Toronto. SKETCH Toronto creates opportunities for young people (ages 16 to 29) living on the streets, homeless or otherwise on the margins, to experience the transformative power of the arts; to build leadership and economic self-sufficiency in the arts; and to cultivate social and environmental change through the arts.
Special thanks to our co-organizers / curators, Ms. McCarthy and Ms. Butscher! And well done, everyone!
