On February 10th, Bond’s Co-Ed Basketball Team, comprised of students age 10 and under, went to HoopDome to compete against other private schools in the U10 Co-Ed Basketball Championship. After winning the games in the morning, Bond continued on their path to the semi-final game.
“The team did really well today. We have been practicing since October last year. Even though we only have one returned player who had been in a previous tournament, everybody came together as a unit today when they were on the court. That made me so proud. They did an amazing job as a unit today!” said Christina Lee, a Montessori Casa Teacher and U10 Co-Ed Basketball Coach at Bond.
During the afternoon game, Bond competed against stronger and more experienced players but no matter when they needed to pass the ball or shoot the ball, Bond students kept doing their best until the end. Ms. Lee mentioned that the Bond team impressed her because nobody gave up. She said: “Even when we were down to a couple of minutes, we were still shooting until the last second of the game. Every single player fought to the end, and they all supported each other.”
