~~Nathaniel O. and his father arrived at the German International School (Toronto) with much excitement. The young man entering Junior Kindergarten was the school’s scholarship winner in this, its second year of presentation. His father commented that, “We had Nathaniel in a French daycare and loved the idea of another language of instruction. The German International School’s instruction of academic subjects as early on as Kindergarten was something the family had been looking for quite a long time, not just a play-based approach.” As a member of the film industry in Toronto, Nathaniel’s father spoke highly of a need to educate children early in their development and how an education for globally minded citizens is critical in his professional field and many others. “An education grounded in the German teaching approach, within a Canadian context would provide a remarkably sound foundation.” We bid Nathaniel and his family a warm welcome and look forward to their being a part of our caring community.
Recently Appointed Principal, Mark Benkelmann, from Ulm, Germany, proudly presented to Nathaniel and his father the Kindergarten Scholarship for 2014-15.
