Old Girl and former boarder, Ailish FORFAR ’12, was featured in a recent Globe & Mail article on recruiting hockey players into Canadian universities. Recipient of an enhanced athletic scholarship to Ryerson University, Ailish plays on the Rams women’s hockey team and is pursuing a sports media degree. She was a star hockey player during her time at BSS and has returned to join our coaching staff. Last year, she helped with the Junior and Middle School teams as a volunteer and, in spite of her studies and demanding hockey schedule, she was able to help with some morning practices, games and a tournament. Nice work, Ailish!
Ailish Forfar feels lucky to be able to pursue her two passions at Toronto's Ryerson University. The athlete, who once won a national championship as part of a Team Ontario under-18 hockey squad, now laces up her skates for the Rams women's hockey team. With help from an enhanced athletic scholarship, she is also doing a sport media degree – a path inspired by a stint as a TSN summer intern. -Globe and Mail
