Fern Hill School is thrilled to announce that it has been invited to participate in the Children’s Choir Series at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Students in Grade Four to Eight in the Junior Intermediate Choir will have the opportunity to perform at this prestigious event in June 2015. Children’s choirs from across North America will collaborate and perform at the world renowned concert hall with distinguished conductor, Henry Leck.
Carnegie Hall opened in 1891 with Tchaikovsky's performance and has since hosted the world's very best musicians. Fern Hill School is excited to have the experence of performing at this renowned venue. Opportunities for sightseeing tours of the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and the American Museum of Natural History as well as a Broadway production will be available to the choristers and their families. Under the direction of Ms. Amanda Nelli, the Junior Intermediate Choir is working hard during their rehearsals to perfect the required repetoire.
