CANADA WIDE SCIENCE FAIR 2018 - SILVER MEDALIST - LIEF, GRADE 11
Carleton University was the host the 57th, annual Canada-Wide Science Fair for the 2018 year. Over 500 young scientists from across Canada were present at the fair with projects focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
St-Laurent Academy is thrilled and proud to announce that Lief, grade 11 student, was a silver medal winner for his project on Using High Temperature Superconductors in the Search for Life on Enceladus! Congratulations, Lief!
Lief was awarded a $10,500 scholarship for his post-secondary studies. Congratulations, Lief!
ONTARIO SECONDARY SCHOOL LITERACY TEST - 2018
Congratulations to all our Grade 10 students for passing the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test, bringing St-Laurent Academy’s overall score higher than the provincial standard. The OSSLT is an assessment used to measure literacy competency for all students, until the end of grade 9. The OSSLT is a requirement for Ontario High School students in order to received their diploma at the end of grade 12.
