Kuper staff and students recently held an assembly to bring increased awareness to ALS and to honour Michael Soles, former Montreal Alouette teammate of Kuper Athletic Director Mr. George Martin. This assembly encouraged staff and students to get together in order to give back to the community through their donations as well as through individual action. In this one day Kuper raised $1000 and came together joining in the Ice Bucket Challenge. Way to go Kuper family! Giving back to the community is an integral part of the philosphy of Kuper Academy. The goal of our community service program is to help those in need as well as to foster, in our students, a tradition of lifelong philanthropy.
Every month a free-dress day is organized with the proceeds going to various charities including but not limited to: the Cure Foundation, Kids Help Phone, the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation, and the Sainte-Justine's Hospital Foundation. One free-dress day that is particularly special for Kuper is when we support the Paolo's Garden Fund, in memorium of Paolo Santoro, a Kuper student who passed away from cancer while attending Kuper Academy.
