At OAT, we go beyond the regular curriculum expectations and demonstrate to students the overlap between their technical courses. Studying at OAT, students can earn the knowledge of what lays ahead in their courses coming the next school year.
Our small class sizes allow for ample individualized support to ensure that students are well-prepared for their post-secondary studies. Through various teaching methods such as hands-on learning, direct instruction, effective questioning, cooperative and project-based learning, we target the diverse needs of our students so they can confidently retain knowledge and apply new skills.
Teachers:
OAT’s faculty is comprised of teachers who are knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about the Art of Teaching. Our instructors are certified by the Ontario College of Teachers or are graduates from Masters and PhD programs. OAT teachers aim not only to provide the highest level of instruction, but also recognize that teaching is a human-centred profession. Our instructors care about building relationships with students so that learners are comfortable to ask questions and seek extra help whenever needed. To reinforce this close dynamic, at OAT, students and teachers relate to each other on a first-name basis.
