On November 27, in the spirit of our school motto, Non Nobis Solum (Not for Ourselves Alone), and on the eve of Giving Tuesday, LCC's Parent Association came together to support The Shoebox Project, collecting toiletries and other items for women living in shelters.
Under the leadership of Katherine Velan (Emily ’15 and James ’17 Bekins) and Teresa Fata (Anthony '18 and Andrew '19), and with the help of members of the LCCPA Executive, LCC parents and staff members assembled and decorated 95 shoeboxes and wrote personalized notes to the recipients.
The Shoebox Project supports women who have been displaced from their homes and helps to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
Thank you to our parents for making a real difference in people's lives during the holidays and for leading by example.
