It was a full house for this year’s Carol Service at St. Paul’s Bloor Street, the school’s original parish church, on December 17. Although the church is large enough to accommodate 2,000 people, there wasn't an empty seat available once the service began as we had the entire Upper School student body in attendance as well as faculty, staff, parents, Old Girls, families and friends.
During the service, Ms. Lynn Janes led the Chamber Choir, the Senior Choir and the Middle School Choir through a variety of beautiful Christmas carols while community members shared with the audience nine lesson readings. There was also a special presentation by the Havergal Men's Choir.
It was a lovely way to celebrate the holiday season. For those who were unable to attend the service, you can take a look at our Carol Service 2012 Highlights video on our YouTube channel: http://bit.ly/CarolService.
The Junior School hosted a Carol Service in the Brenda Robson Hall on December 18.
