On December 3, 2015 Braemar House School families and friends gathered for our annual Music Recital. The Music Recital is the culminating event for our Music curriculum. Students are exposed to several different instruments over their years at Braemar, including boom whackers, Orff instruments, recorders, keyboards, hand bells, guitar and percussion. Students from Montessori through Grade 8 participated in the Music Recital and enthusiastically showcased what they had learned.
Many thanks to Mrs. Hunter who organized the event and did a wonderful job as the emcee for the evening. Thanks also to Al Spaxman for his piano accompaniment and to Darren D'Souza for his dedication to the guitar and percussion instruction.
Art programming is an important part of Braemar’s curriculum. Artistic experiences foster creative thinking and provide opportunity for individual expression. The music curriculum is intended to help students develop an understanding and appreciation of music.
